To all the singles out there…

Love. All we need is love to make everything all right.
And here’s hoping that we find it this 2012.
Happy New Year to all!
An entrepreneur through and through
Posted January 1, 2012 | No Comments
My friend Jen who is an entrepreneur through and through is in search of Business-to-Business Marketer Jobs. She is really good in what she does, doing ads and promotions for different companies. But she is tired of hopping to different companies and she just wants to focus on one company right now. Thus, the search for the job.
Jen wants to be able to take up her masters degree as well. That’s why a nine to five job is ideal. She is also looking for an ideal five-day work week so that she can allot her weekends for school.
Shift in career paths
Posted December 31, 2011 | No Comments
My good friend Rea is shifting career paths. She is a physical therapist but she wants to shift to become a salon owner. Salon with spa business. She wants to open that kind of business with her best friend from college. They want to take advantage of an offer they got from an old salon owner in Rea’s neighborhood. She is selling her own salon and Rea thought to expand it.
But first to get a good grasp of the business they are going to be entering, both women will enroll in a Nashville cosmetology school called Regency Beauty Institute. Needless to say, both women are excited!

And hey you! Come join me and let’s trek this world with our heads held up high and our hearts and minds in the right places.
Here’s to a better life in 2012!!!
Deliciously thanks!

I believe in giving gifts that are practical and functional. That’s why when I had to say thanks to this great person who is very supportive of me, I immediately thought of edible thank you gifts. She is a foodie like me. Naturally, something to eat is the perfect gift for her.
I try to be the best giver of gifts. But I know that I sometimes fail to give the best. I do try and what I can say for myself is that I really think of what to give. I think of the person I will be giving a gift to and I think of what best gift I can give the person.
This time around, for the foodie supportive friend of mine, I will have a deliciously gift of thanks to give!
Last minute shopping
Posted December 23, 2011 | No Comments
I am sure there are still a lot of people out there like me who are doing their last minute shopping. Am I right? Raise your hands, brothers and sisters!
I am looking for equestrian helmets. I know I should have done this a few days ago but I was too lazy. The good thing is that the ones I will be giving it to are out of the country and will be back after New Year’s celebrations. I still have a few days to get it then.
Of course, I don’t recommend last minute shopping. But if it can’t be helped then might as well do it as early as NOW! Still have several hours left before the strike of midnight and people get to open their gifts. Some of us are lucky enough to have days left until we get to see the recipients of our gifts. Make do with the the time you have.
Ready for Christmas eve celebrations?
Music and her man
Posted December 5, 2011 | No Comments
My friend KST and I had a chat about music and her man. She is planning to give him Dr Dre Headphones for this coming Christmas. He is so into his music that my friend knows it will make him happy should he see the headphone she will get him.
Music is her boyfriend’s way of relaxing. He loves putting his headphone on and would mix music, funky ones, that he likes the best. That’s what he does after dinner almost every night. Music takes away his stress. Music and his xbox games. He uses his headphone when playing his xbox so the headphone she will give her boyfriend will play a big role in his nights for sure.
She can already see the smile on his face…
Never settle
Posted December 5, 2011 | No Comments

My sister has this old lady friend that was formerly her co-worker and now one of her really good friends. She is older than me and clearly on the path of being single for the rest of her life. She has one man in her life who is not really pursuing her but just obviously out to suck out some money from her.
My sister keeps telling her to date. There were foreign men who expressed their desire to get to know her but she is not into foreign men so she didn’t pay attention to them. She is into local men. But since there’s no local men expressing their interest, my sister is encouraging her to try meeting the men who are showing their interest. Why not them?
She tells my sister that she is okay with the gold digging guy since he’s the only local guy showing ‘interest’ in her. Why settle for someone who is only out to get your money? I think that it’s right what they say… never settle for less than what you deserve. Never settle. She should realize that she is selling herself short in love if she keeps snubbing the men who shows interest for what and who she is and will settle for the one man who is more after her purse than her being.
Never settle, girls.
Capturing memories
Posted December 5, 2011 | No Comments
She brings her digital camera exilim with her all the time. It is ready to capture memories anytime, anywhere. She loves taking photos and it is a hobby that she’s been indulging in for years. She also loves photo scrapbooks. She combines both of her love for photos and scrapbooks in one and you can only imagine how many she already has now.
I am not much into taking photos but when I began blogging, I learned that taking photos is a good way to create entries. You can come up with brilliant ideas even with a small photo of a drop of water you took.
Trust me, I’ve done that.
Honoring her vows

An old woman can be seen buying urinary incontinence products once a week. She needs it for her husband who is already incontinent due to old age and a number of illnesses.
You know I love seeing the old woman as it is a testament to how someone still honors what she said in front of the altar when she tied the knot. In sickness and in health. It is easier to be there when the person you love is in good health. The true test of love comes when you stick with the person you love even in times of trouble and sickness. When there’s nothing the other person can give in return for the love and kindness you are showing him.
There are still persons like the old woman out there. I just know it.
Unaware of worldly stuff
Posted November 30, 2011 | No Comments

They became friends when they were in their teens. The guy somehow had this ‘thing’ for the girl but for some reason he didn’t pursue her. They were an ‘item’ but short of being a boyfriend and girlfriend. The girl was in love with the boy but the latter was vague on his feelings for her. But they were always together. And do stuff together.
I do think that the girl was the loser in this kind of situation. There should be a definition, a name to what you have because in open relationships, the women almost always end up losing. You might not see it now but women always give more than what they should.
Good thing the girl was unaware of worldly stuff when they had a thing. She would have ended up throwing away her future had she allowed more than holding hands, hugging and kissing with the boy.
In the spirit of love
Posted November 29, 2011 | No Comments

Someone once told me to do things out of love and it will not feel overworked. It will not feel uncomfortable or done mechanically. If something is done in the spirit of love, it is more genuine. We live life that way.
I think one of the reasons why I am happy still being single even though I am nearing the ‘due date’ I gave myself in finding the one is because I do things in the spirit of love. As much as I can, I make sure every little thing I do is done with love behind it.
How about you?
Romance in the work place
Posted November 26, 2011 | No Comments

I am reminded of two bosses who had an open-secret affair… of a co-worker who asked me out and wanted me to accompany him to his parents’ anniversary party (which was so weird considering it would be our first time to date!)… of a friend who went out with her boss who eventually became her boyfriend… and of all those TV shows and movies and novels that centered around this topic.
Romance in the work place.
Does it really work? What are the repercussions to co-workers dating and then breaking up? What are the chances that the integrity of the company be put in line when a company owner promotes someone from the bottom line of the rank and file to an executive position just because they are lovers?
I will explore more of this topic/issue in a series of posts.
Stay tuned.
Lounging by the pool
Posted November 24, 2011 | No Comments
My friends and I just love lounging by the pool. We would go to a friend’s condominium building where there’s a big pool at the penthouse with a pool heat pump and there we would stay for hours catching up. We do this once in a while.
One of the things I love about my friends is that they have simple joys like me. A cup of coffee, a slice of cake, an hour or so of girl talk… those things make us happy already. We are that ‘shallow’ when it comes to spending time with each other. We don’t need to spend so much when we see each other. We just need to be together with food and drinks and we’re happy with that.
