Proud of their love
Posted January 27, 2012 | No Comments
It makes me smile whenever I see a couple who aren’t ashamed to let others see how much they love each other. I am not talking about nauseating public displays of affection here. I am talking about just holding hands, a kiss on the forehead or the hair, being silly, wearing a goofy grin, showing off the Joe Rocket Atomic jacket his woman gave him or the beautiful charm her man gave her, or just plain looking at each other with a knowing smile on their faces. That kind of love.
I love how a man can sometimes be protective of his woman that he lifts her by the waist when he sees a puddle of water where she will be walking through.
Oh love! How you can make the best of us become mush when it comes to being in love…
Cozy place
Posted January 27, 2012 | No Comments

A friend of mine has so many great ideas of how we can all cozy up somewhere without the need for extravagance. You can put a small lamp (photo) on a table in your patio and invite your special someone for an early evening drinks at home. No need to spend so much and the small lamp can already make any place a cozy place conducive to love and romance!
Great idea, don’t you think?
Best to be frugal
Posted January 27, 2012 | No Comments
With the rising costs of basic commodities, I thought it best to be frugal this year. I will try to cut down on unnecessary expenses and will save more on purchases. I will use coupons like onestopplus coupons to save on costs. I have heard so much about the good coupons bring to those who use it that I am willing to try it out myself. This year, being frugal is really the best plan to be!
I am an advocate of indulgence. In fact, I always tell my friends and love ones to pamper themselves as much as they can. We all deserve it from working so hard. But then there are times it is best to be wise financially. An indulgence once in a while is still not bad but then we don’t want to end up penniless in this hard times, right?
Smoothed out

It seems like it is agreed upon that all rough edges of the log cabin will be smoothed out by Jed and Terry. Both are given a task as punishment of some sort for the prank they pulled on a private property. Jed and Terry are friends who spray painted a cabin with a logo of theirs. As a punishment for what they did, the teens’ parents got abrasives and made them clean the cabin they spray painted.
Kids these days. They have so much angst in them I can’t understand anymore where it’s coming from. Maybe too much of what the media feed them contributes to all the pent-up emotions they have. Or maybe it’s the lack of guidance from the elders who are all working long hours to make both ends meet.
Sigh.
Flashbacks
Posted January 27, 2012 | No Comments

For a time all she could think about was how it would have been had they ended up together. It was a painful goodbye. She didn’t want it to end but she had to end it herself. He let her end it all.
The memories stayed, of course. The flashbacks hurt her the most! It was like her heart was ripped into two and the half had gone missing. She couldn’t control the tears flowing out of her eyes. She couldn’t stop the sob escaping her lips. She was in pain and she didn’t know how to make it go away.
But time, as they say, heals all wounds. It took a while but the flashbacks no longer hurt. Her heart feels whole again. She is completely healed and she is hoping to find love once again.
Fancy house

Daria went to visit an old friend of hers from high school and was floored when she saw where she lives. The house can’t be called by any other name but a mansion. Yes, a MANSION! Complete with a foyer, a grand staircase, a tea room, a sunroom, a formal and informal dining areas, a breakfast nook and a dirty kitchen bigger than her own house! That big!
Daria’s friend has really gone way ahead the lot of them. She is now a big shot in a well-known multinational company and earning a lot of money so it’s no wonder she can afford a house that big and have guests over every single day.
Dad shirts

I admire my friend’s love for her husband. She is devoted to him and makes sure that he is taken cared of. She also gives him random gifts like the D&D t-shirts that she saw online and bought for him. He is also her priority above her work.
Now that they have a two-year-old son, it seems to me that my friend and her husband’s love for each other is growing stronger each day. It’s really amazing to see! And one I hope will never change and last them a lifetime.
Changes at home
Posted January 22, 2012 | No Comments
I have many regrets in life. I think this is pretty much obvious with the mentions of the past in majority of my posts. Anyway, I regret not allotting funds last year for major changes at home that I have planned for this year. It would have made everything easier had I estimated correctly. I would have been able to buy the triple undermount sink that I want. And the subzero fridge as well as the window type air conditioning unit. Regrets.
Good thing I try as much as I can to turn the setbacks into inspirations to do better. And I know my plans for the major changes at home will still push through albeit slower than what I want.
Thoughtful nephew

Kuya Ron has always been the thoughtful son/nephew/cousin in the family. He never forgets special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries and what each person in the family loves or is currently into. He gave dad a cigar gift because the last time they talked dad mentioned he was curious about it. What a thoughtful nephew according to dad!
That he is. Thoughtful. And always with a ready smile for everyone. He is also very generous and supportive. I am lucky I have a Kuya Ron for my cousin. Lucky are we who have older kind men in life. Not everyone has one to turn to.
Vibrant blue

I don’t know why but I am drawn to this vibrant blue color. I saw the photo above while searching for wedding ideas. I was immediately drawn to the vibrant blue!
I was thinking that if and when I get married, that blue will be part of the motif. I want my maid of honor and flower girl to wear gowns of that hue. Gorgeous color, don’t you think?
Exquisite and classy

Did you know that diamonds can be created in labs? I did not know that diamonds can be cultured and created in labs until a jeweller friend of mine showed me lab created diamond solitaire rings . He is working in a jewelry shop and thought that I would be interested in it. He was right. I was fascinated with the color diamond jewellery that he showed me. They look so exquisite and classy, just like those old, rare diamonds you usually see in museum exhibitions. I can’t help it. They are too beautiful and the temptation is too much for me to resist. I’m definitely going to buy some colored diamond jewelry for myself as soon as I get my next paycheck.

My prayer…
Posted January 11, 2012 | No Comments

You know my constant prayer to the One Above is to have a happy life. Stay protected and loved and blessed. That’s my constant prayer.
I do believe that deep in our hearts we all just yearn for happiness. Even in the small things around us. We crave happiness in our daily lives. Am I right? Do you also yearn for true happiness? One that isn’t coming from the shallow things in our lives?
Alone and sick

My girl friends and I were talking about this older person that we all know. The elderly is now living alone and suffering from serious side effects. We were really talking about how we pity the person. According to one of my friends, the thing ailing the person was brought on by the medicine he took for a heart ailment. We know for a fact that a Crestor lawsuit is in progress filed by the elderly against the people behind the medicine he took.
We were planning to go visit him and bring him some help. We will go there this coming weekend.
