She’s ruining her life :(

bestfriendMy former bestfriend is still a drug dependent. I heard this before but refused to believe it. I thought she stopped the addiction, especially now that she’s a mom already. But when a common friend told me about it a couple of days ago, I just had to believe. We both care for this person and it just made us sad to hear about her life right now.

I was joking that a psychiatrist should probably see her. You see, she’s one of those privileged girls. Brains and beauty and money. When we were in high school, every little whim she asked for, she got from her dad. She’s daddy’s little girl. While our school money was Php20 a day, hers was already in thousands! Her mom waited on her hand and foot. Her parents were wrapped around her finger tightly. In short, she’s got everything a girl her age would ever want!

So I was surprised to learn that she became a drug dependent. Uhm, not surprised that she became one but more that she let herself become one. She can afford it. That much can be one of the reasons she became an addict. Wrong crowd, probably. I even heard that the reason was an ex-boyfriend taught her how. But for her to let it happen when there’s no real reason for her to rebel against her parents or to ruin her life… read more ▼
