Thank you to everyone who left a comment. It really meant a lot to me. I don’t think I will be able to talk to my uncle and his family now. Not yet. Maybe if they come crawling back… nah, just kidding. Their not a loss to me. Time will tell if things will go back the way they were before this money issue.

Hi!
Not playing but I would like to comment.
It is really hard when it comes to our family or relatives or even to people who are sort of less fortunate than us. It seemed that it is your fault that you are somehow blessed, then you have to understand the lesser fortunate.

I used to feel that way with my rich relatives. We were poor. They were rich. I wanted or sort of thought that they should look out for us.

Today, I have my own family and own obligations and sort of doing well than others, I understand now that it just looks like that but we all have our own needs and obligations… and the truth is, we all need money.

They do not have the right to be angry at you. Not at all. Dapat nga mahiya pa sila, di ba?

You’re smart to not lend money again…money really tends to cause problems between family members. Your uncle and his family are probably mad because it’s easier to be mad than admit you were wrong. Remember you are the better person and in the right.

HUGS! I know how it is I've been there several times with my sister, it's amazing how family can do you sometimes. They have no right being angry with you! You are definitely not in the wrong in this situation. It’s a tricky situation lending money to relatives. Most of the time, they end up being ungrateful.

I'm so sorry you have been taken advantage of in this way. I have learned this lesson myself and it hurts a lot when you explicitly let them know how much the repayment is needed and they don't seem to be as caring about your plight as you have been about theirs. :-( .-= Rebecca´s last blog ..Friday Frustrations =-.
