Someone’s happiness should not be defined by whether or not they are dating. Just be happy with you, that’s all that counts. People will always ask questions.

If you were dating, they’d ask when you’re getting married.
If you get married, they ask when you’re having children.
You get one child, they ask when the second one is coming.
It never ends.

i think it’s one’s personal choice to chose to be single. If one could not find the right person to fall in love with, why force oneself to be attached or get married right? For my side, my relatives will ask and ask about my life too (when u getting married, when u having a kid etc) but at the end of the day, it seems this is the only conversation i had with them especially if i only meet them once a year during festive reason. Don’t be too bothered with them, perhaps they are just trying to strike a topic.

I’ve been single since I was 25 and I will be 30 on Monday. It’s really scary how fast the time goes by. I wish that I could meet someone that would be right, but it just hasn’t happened. I can see how easy it is for some people to end up spending their whole lives alone. Meeting someone that is compatible and right for you is a hard thing to do.

Well, it’s even worse in China that relatives or friends CARE so much about single ladies… I mean, they always ask the same question as you mentioned.
Exactly as you said,”So What?”

Everyone has a way to live, a life to experience. No matter what way… as long as the person is happy. I’m not sure if you know Chinese , we like to say “yi qie shun qi zi ran” (means let things go the way they are something like that ) and we believe in “yuan fen” (destiny. ) Good luck to you!
