Missing my mom

Posted on | May 6, 2009 | 1 Comment

My mom was a crazy, unpredictable woman. And I loved her! She was one of those unconventional moms that although she was strict with the values she wanted us to learn early on, she was lenient in other areas. She’s strict when it came to boys but not because she didn’t want me to have a boyfriend. She was strict because she wanted me to concentrate on my studies more than anything else.

My friend, Lem, put everything in perspective a couple of years ago, while having dinner with him after office hours. If it weren’t for the vigilance of our mothers, we wouldn’t have achieved so many in life.

This coming Sunday is Mother’s Day. It’s been 4 years now that my mom passed away. I miss her kookiness. I miss her so much.

Happy Mother’s Day, Mommy! Wherever you are…
:D
